WISE HOPES TO BE LUCKY IN LAS VEGAS
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CORNELIUS , N.C. (September 17, 2007) – This weekend, Josh Wise and the No. 00 Aaron's Lucky Dog Toyota Tundra head to the 1.5-mile oval of Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS) for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Las Vegas 350 on Saturday night.
Wise will be making his first visit to LVMS this weekend. However, the 2006 USAC National Sprint Car Champion has winning experience in Las Vegas at the nearby dirt track where he won the USAC Sprint Car race there last March.
"I can promise you one thing, I'll make more laps in my first run of the day in No. 00 Aaron's Lucky Dog Tundra than I would if I were in a Sprint car or a Midget practicing,” said Wise. “Normally when you go to a Sprint car or Midget track, you only get four or five laps of practice on the dirt and that's it. At Las Vegas , I'll use all of the practice time they'll give me to learn the track.”
The Darrell Waltrip Motorsports team has had success in the past with fellow Aaron's driver David Reutimann behind the wheel posting a sixth-place finish last year. The No. 00 Aaron's Lucky Dog Toyota team has had some changes since then, most recently with Randy Goss stepping in as crew chief for the Darrell Waltrip team.
“Our team has had some changes, but we look forward to growing and posting strong finishes for Aaron's,” commented Wise. “Randy (Goss) and I have worked together during various testing session and I can really learn from his knowledge. I look forward to coming out of the gates strong this weekend and posting a top-five finish for the team and Aaron's.”
Live coverage of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Las Vegas 350 begins on Saturday, September 22 nd at 8:30 p.m. Eastern Time on SPEED and MRN Radio .
